“fufuly” is a calm-inducing robot cushion that breathes, gently inflating and deflating.
It uses Deep Breathing Technology, which mimics the way people and animals naturally synchronize their breath with those near them.

Modern lifestyles, characterized by prolonged forward-leaning postures and the ubiquitous use of masks during the COVID-19 pandemic, have led to increasingly disrupted breathing patterns. The resulting physical issues are escalating year by year. In response, JT, Hakuhodo, and Yukai Engineering Inc. have initiated a project with the aspiration of enabling effortless and deep breathing for all individuals in contemporary society. Drawing upon research conducted by the University of Tokyo’s Graduate School of Frontier Sciences, Human Environment and Informatics Laboratory on breath and relaxation, the team has designed a product aimed at enhancing well-being during moments of respite.

Deep Breathing Technology, inspired by “the phenomenon of rhythmical synchronization.” This technology simulates the natural expansion and contraction of a living creature’s breath.

FAQ

The device has started to malfunction.

The battery may be low, so please try charging it.

After receiving the package, I tried to turn it on but it wouldn’t work.

Please charge it first. Once it is charged, you can turn it on/off by pressing and holding the power button. After operation, the power will automatically turn off after 180 minutes. If more than 180 minutes have passed since the last time you used it, please turn it on again. If it does not work even after fully charging, please contact our customer service center.

The LED doesn’t light up when charging.

When fufuly is fully charged, it will automatically stop charging and the LED will turn off. Also, if it is left uncharged for a long period of time, such as several months, the LED may not flash even when the charger is connected. If it starts flashing after a few hours, it is charging without any problems, so please check the situation. It takes about 5 hours to fully charge. If it does not charge even after connecting the charger for several hours, please contact our customer service center.

I can’t find where the power switch is.

The power button of fufuly is in the slit next to the zipper. The other side of the LED is the charging port. Press and hold the power button to switch on/off, and push it once to change modes.

The LED is flashing red and fast.

○ The red LED flashes twice per second.
Turn the power OFF, then ON again, and plug in the power cable that was connected to the power source.
If this stops the LED flashing, please check that it is working properly. If the flashing pattern does not stop, discontinue use.

○ The red LED flashes five times per second.
Remove the charger and turn the power OFF. If this flashing pattern does not stop even after charging again, discontinue use.

Where can I find the serial number for my fufuly?

It is written on the bottom of the resin inside, which can be seen when you open the outer and inner covers.

Are there any replacement parts for the outer cover?

At this time, we are not selling the cover alone. We are considering selling replacement covers in the future.

Can I wash the cover?

You can remove the cushion cover and wash it by hand. Soak it in lukewarm water with a small amount of laundry detergent, gently press it to remove dirt, and hang it flat to avoid stretching the material.

It is powered by a motor. It makes a driving noise, but this is not abnormal.
