According to Ohio department of aging, Ohio’s population is aging. Today, our state has 2.5 million residents over the age of 60, and our 60-plus population is growing more than 20 times faster than our overall population. In 2010, only four Ohio counties had populations that were more than 25 percent age 60-plus. By 2030, only seven counties will be under that threshold. In just 12 years, Ohio will have nine counties where more than one out of every three residents are seniors
